PROJECT 08: WOOD BEAD BRACELET
REDESIGNED MULTI-STRAND BRACELET PT.4
The fourth design
is a simple unisex stretch bracelet. I just rearranged the beads and added a
decorative bead spacer.
MATERIALS & TOOLS
Wood Beads from
the Deconstructed Multistrand Bracelet
Tube Spacer
2 Big Metal Beads
Garter String
Scissors
STEP 1
Without cutting
the garter string, insert 6 round wood beads, 1 metal bead, all the tube wood
beads or about 14 pieces, 1 metal bead and the remaining 6 round wood beads.
STEP 2
Insert the tube spacer and
adjust the beads and measure to fit wrist. Leave about 1½” tail string and do
the same for the other side of the string before cutting.
STEP 3
Knot to
secure.
STEP 4
Pull to hide knots inside
the tube spacer then cut excess string.
TIPS & TRICKS
Wood beads sometimes have
splinters or excess wood that covers part of the bead hole. You can open this
up by taking your round nose pliers and poking the hole. For smaller beads you
can use a headpin.
