PROJECT 06: BOHO BRACELETS
REDESIGNED MULTI-STRAND BRACELET PT.2
The
second design in this series is a 2 strand Beaded Boho Bracelet. For this I used the yellow gold seed beads and hex cut beads, brown round beads and brown bugle beads from the multi-strand bracelet.
I
gave a tip on my previous post to make sure to have a bit of a gap for the
beads to move around. But as you may notice, the golden yellow beads look
crumpled near the lock, that’s because the knots didn’t go through the bead
holes as planned as the holes got too small, therefore the knots took up the
extra space. In such cases, if it’s too obvious, restringing is advised,
especially if you intend to sell them.

STEP 1
Take 1
yard or about 35-36” of nylon thread, insert through a split ring. Meet thread
ends so ring will fall in the middle, tie a knot to secure the ring.
Start
stringing with 1 small metal bead, medium metal bead, small metal bead and then
one seed bead. This will be your pattern.
STEP 2
Continue
with this pattern until you come a few lines short of 6”. We’re including the split
rings in the measurement so we need to make a spot for the end split ring.
STEP 3
String
in one split ring and bring back the thread to the beaded strand and go through
that a couple of time then knot to secure.
STEP 4
Using
the same split ring from the previous strand, take another yard of nylon thread
and repeat step 1, but with the pattern of alternating 1 seed bead and 1 glass
bead until you have 3”.
STEP 5
String
in the charm and continue stringing in the beads until you come short of 6”.
STEP 6
Take
the same split ring from the previous strand and repeat step 3.
STEP 7
Take
a few rings of the curb chain and connect to one end of the strand. With a jump
ring, or in this case, since I don’t have a thick enough jump ring in brass, I
used a ring from a cable chain, connect your strand to the lobster lock with
the ring.
